Vice Chancellor of Student Access and Success
Welcome to the Division of Student Access and Success at Montana State University Billings! There’s never been a more exciting time to be an MSUB Yellowjacket! With two campuses (University Campus & City College), a plethora of opportunities to become actively engaged both in the classroom and outside of the classroom, the university environment is vibrant, and activities and events abound.
The staff in the division are responsible for most of the student services and co-curricular components of the student experience at MSUB. We provide quality services, programs and facilities that enrich the educational experience of students. Our priority is to help you be academically, socially, mentally and physically successful while you are here. The Division of Student Access and Success at MSUB is comprised of four functional departments encompassing the following offices:
- Fall 2020 Back to School Guide
- Student Enrollment Services:
- City College Student Services (Jacket Student Central)
- Student Life:
The staff in all the above areas and departments work collaboratively internal to and external from the division to provide a robust array of programs and services to meet the needs of the diverse students who attend MSUB.
Take advantage of all the options to become actively engaged, involved and connected to the University. Live on campus. Cheer on the YellowJackets at a sporting event. Join one of over 60 student organizations on campus. Attend a lecture, a concert, or one of our annual events such as YellowJacket Welcome Week or the Annual Pow Wow. Volunteer in the Billings community. Participate in a club sport or intramurals. Opportunities abound! The more you put into your collegiate experience the more you will get out of it. Face Coverings - what you need to know
As of July 23, 2020, in accordance with guidance from the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education and the Center for Disease Control, MSU Billings is requiring all students, faculty, staff and visitors to use a face covering while on campus. Read the Quick Reference Guide for more information, or a full copy of the MSU Billings Back to Business plan.
There may be circumstances where an exception allowing faculty, students, staff, or visitors to forego wearing a face covering is requested. In these situations, the following processes should be followed:
Any student who is not registered through Disability Support Services but who wishes to request exemption from wearing a face covering, should complete the Face Covering Exemption Form. This form will be reviewed by the Student Health Services Team and the Dean of Students to determine a decision. Students and their instructors will be informed via email of a decision regarding the request within 24 hours of submitting the form. Students who are granted an exception to wear a face shield in lieu of a face covering will be provided one by Student Health Services or the Dean of Students Office.
