Tickes on sale now for January 30 event

 

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The Art Students’ League of Montana State University Billings will hold an art auction at the Billings Depot on Friday, January 30. A silent auction will commence at 5:30 p.m. followed by a live auction at 7 p.m.

The silent auction will showcase works created by MSUB students.

 

The live auction will feature donated pieces from renowned artists including Andy Austin, Jane Deschner, Bob Durden, Coila Evans, Louis Habeck, Neil Jussila, Ellen Kuntz, Jon Lodge, Gordon McConnell, Hollie Paris, Ben Pease, Jeff Schaezle, Patrick Smith and Lou Taylor.

 

Admission includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres, desserts, drinks and live entertainment performed by the MSU Billings music department and local musicians. Tickets are $50 each or $500 for a table of 10 and can be purchased online at www.msubartstudentleague.com or by calling 406-657-2986.

 

Proceeds from the art auction will support the Art Students’ League in purchasing new art equipment, hosting visiting artist workshops and providing scholarships for art students. The club is a non-profit organization with a mission to expand the education of students in and beyond the realm of the classroom. The ASL members focus on encouraging a new generation of artists to set roots in the growing local art community.
