Montana State University Billings percussion major Asa Harris will perform his senior recital on April 19.

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings percussion major Asa Harris will present his senior recital in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in music, with a teaching certificate option.

 

His recital will take place in Cisel Recital Hall on April 19, at 7:30 p.m. The recital, free and open to the public, will feature works by Tim Huesgen, Todd Ukena, Nabosja Jovan Zivkovic and David Reeves. Harris is a student of Luke Kestner and Matt Devitt.

 

Harris graduated from Milles City High School in 2008. He moved to Glendive where he earned his associate degree in music technology recording. He transferred to MSU Billings in 2011 to earn a degree in music education. He will be student teaching in Miles City in the fall of 2015.

 

While a student at MSU Billings, Harris has participated in various ensembles such as Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Percussion Ensemble and serves as vice president of Percussion Club.
