MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Emily Prouty, trumpet, will be giving her senior recital in fulfillment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Music Education on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 7:30 pm in Cisel Hall on the University campus.

She is a native of Harvey, North Dakota where she graduated from Harvey High School.  Emily attended Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT where she received an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Science in Music Technology. A student of Lisa Shields, she was actively involved with the band, choir, and drum line programs. She transferred to Montana State University Billings to earn a Bachelors in Music Education. At MSUB Emily has been involved with the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and NAfME club. She is currently the choir director at Atonement Lutheran Church in Billings Heights. 

 

Emily is a student of Dr. Mark Fenderson. She will be performing works by Haydn, Arban, Ryther, Pilss, Bizet, and Anderson. She will be accompanied by pianist Sandi Rabas and will be joined by fellow MSUB brass students Belle Horman, Steven Klippenstein, Lakota Stahl and Kirk Visser.
