MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Orientation and registration sessions for the fall 2009 semester at Montana State University Billings are under way and will continue through the summer.

But for those who have delayed their decisions and are considering an undergraduate degree or a master’s degree, there is still time to get information and apply for admission. Students who want to attend an orientation session must first apply for admission.

MSU Billings orientations this summer are not only targeted for new students who are moving from high school to college, but will include specialized sessions for transfer students and adult learners. There are even two dates when new students can stay overnight in the residence halls and take part in a variety of activities to help them become more comfortable with MSU Billings, the campus surroundings and the people who work at the university. Those Overnight Orientation & Registration dates are June 8-9 and July 23-24.

There are separate registration dates for the College of Technology throughout the summer to help students get registered in the two-year programs at the West End campus.  Registration sessions for first-time students at the COT began this week and will continue on May 28, 29. Other dates are:

  • June 2,3, 4, 10, 11, 19, 23, 24, 25

  • Aug. 6, 13, 14, 18, 21, 28
  • Sept. 3

Orientation sessions at the COT will be held Aug. 12, 20, 24 and Sept. 4. Transfer Student Orientationat the COT will be July 30 and Sept. 2 while an Adult Learner session at the COT is set for Aug. 27.
