Definitely:

  • Stay away from your roommate, as much as possible. You may need to bring them food or class work.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or use alcohol based hand sanitizers.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth 

Useful:

  • Encourage your roommate to use good cough hygiene and to wash his/her hands often
  • You may use disinfectant wipes on surfaces you both touch, such as doorknobs.
  • You may wear a surgical mask while in the residence hall room or apartment.
