MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Adults who have considered completing an undergraduate degree but are also concerned about the initial cost can take advantage of a new scholarship at Montana State University Billings.

Designed specifically for adults who have been away from education for a time and keeping in mind financial concerns those adults have, MSU Billings has developed the Adult Learner Connections Scholarship. That scholarship will allow adults who return to college the opportunity take their first class for only $100 per credit.

“This is an affordable way to get folks started back into college,” said Shelly Andersen, director of New Student Services.

Those who are interested in the scholarship need to have been out of high school for at least three years and have been away from college for two or more years.  The scholarship is available for the first class only and counts for online classes as well as classes at the main campus or the College of Technology campus on Billings’ West End.

Students taking graduate-level classes are not eligible for the scholarship.

For more information about the scholarship and how to apply, contact the Office of New Student Services at 657-2888.
