College of Education policy requires that all candidates undergo a criminal background check before a field experience can begin.  A fingerprint card, documents, and fees needed for the report should be submitted to the Educational Theory & Practice Department, COE Room 261 or 262, six weeks prior to the first day of the semester for EDU 220, EDU 221, and EDSP 204.  All other field experiences are subject to additional criminal background requirements including no break in attendance of a year or more and as per the education program and application requirements.

Fingerprint & Background Check Information has the most updated procedures and information.

For questions, please contact Traci Sgrignoli, Director of Field Experiences and Licensure, at 406-657-1670.
