Salary
Residence Director: $28,000 (12-Month Contract)
Relocation Assistance
Residence Directors typically receive up to 100% of relocation services.
Spousal and Domestic Partner Benefits
All legally married spouses of Residence Director are eligible for health, dental and vision insurance as well tuition assistance. Domestic partners (same-sex and opposite-sex) of Residence Directors are welcome on campus and encouraged to become part of the MSUB family. Although state benefits are not offered, there are several benefits including access to the university fitness center, housing, dining hall, etc.
Apartment
Residence Directors are considered live-in professionals and are provided a live-in apartment. The apartment can come furnished at any level the RD wishes.
MSUB Housing & Residence Life supports a pet friendly living environment for live in staff.
Schedule Flexibility/Vacation
We know that residence directors work varied hours and our department works hard to ensure the highest quality of life by creating opportunities for staff to be flexible with weekly hours and vacation periods.
Professional Development
Professional development is a critical component of the RD position at MSUB. Residence Directors will automatically receive membership within the Association of Intermountain Housing Officers (AIMHO) and the Association of College & University Housing Officers International (ACUHOI). Professional development funds are offered for conference attendance (full travel and registration), other association memberships, books and other professional development opportunities as approved by the Associate Dean of Students. In some cases, staff may be asked to create a proposal to secure funds. Presentation at conferences and joining association executive boards/committees is highly encouraged by MSUB Housing & Residence Life. Current staff serve in the following roles:
Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Retirement, etc.
