The department of eLearning offers tech support for D2L (where the online component of classes takes place) and other tools related to online learning. We also provide instructional design assistance, including course building and reviews.
Once you have been accepted, look up your NetID.
If needed, click "I don’t know my MSU ID" and follow the prompts.
Complete the new user setup. The password you create here will be used for all MSUB logins.
You will now be able to login to MyInfo and D2L using your NetID and password! We
recommend doing the following as soon as possible:
- In MyInfo, verify and update your address, email, etc. under the Personal Information tab.
- In D2L, click on your name to update your profile and notification settings.
No. Your NetID is used for most campus logins, while your student ID (also referred to as a MSU ID or GID) is not used for any logins and should never be shared.

Once you have met with your advisor are are ready to register for classes, login to MyInfo (this can also be found in the upper-right corner of the MSUB homepage).
From here, click on the Student Services tab, then Student Information > Registration
> Add/Drop Classes. Choose a semester and add the CRN for each class that you wish
to enroll for. CRNs can be found by clicking Class Search or viewing the class schedule. Remember to submit your changes!
If you encounter registration errors, contact your advisor or department for assistance.
Passwords expire periodically. Start by resetting your password if you are unable to login.
You may not be able to login here for the first 24 hours after registering for your first MSUB course. If it has been over 24 hours and you still cannot login, please contact our office for support.
Courses are not visible until their official start dates; to confirm enrollment, check your registration and/or schedule in MyInfo.
Yes! You can look up your university email address in MyInfo under Personal Information > View IDs, although this is typically your first.last@msubillings.edu. Access your email by visiting outlook.com or downloading the Outlook application and log in using your university email address and the same password that you use for MyInfo and D2L.
Note: You also have a D2L email that ends in @billings.desire2learn.com - this is only used within D2L and does not need to be memorized!
