  • Mandatory Fees are charged to all students including online students for various reasons as described below:
    • Building Fees including the Student Union Fee are charged to all students to pay bonds that were taken to build and repair the buildings and are guaranteed with our entire student body.  The remaining building funds go to repairs for faculty, staff, and student offices and spaces that support all our students both on campus and online.
    • The computer and equipment fees are used to supply necessary items that make up our infrastructure for students, i.e. computers, servers, software, science equipment, classroom furniture, etc.  
    • All students, including online students have access to all services of the Library, their staff and associated services.  The assessment portion has to do with student progress and cataloging of work during their college careers.  
  • The University waives the Health Service Fee, Athletic Fee, Student Activity Fee, and Recreational Activity Fee for all Online only students outside the seven county region. The seven county region includes Yellowstone, Carbon, Treasure, Musselshell, Golden Valley, Stillwater, and Bighorn Counties.
