For six weeks each summer the students live in the residence halls on the MSU Billings campus and take academic enrichment classes. As a part of the summer program, faculty and staff co-ordinate field trips to area sites where students apply classroom knowledge in real life settings. Students learn about college life through the residence hall experience, are involved in evening activities and programs, and learn to live in a community with their peers, just like college students! UB summer participants are also eligible to receive a summer stipend up to $90.

Once students have successfully completed two summer programs and have graduated from high school, they are eligible to participate in the Summer Bridge Program. Bridge students take college classes. Once they have successfully completed the Bridge Program, students will have earned up to six college credits. Tuition, fees, and books are paid by the UB project.
