HEROES joins the BACCHUS Peer Education Network in order to provide primary prevention efforts to help alleviate the problem of alcohol misuse and abuse on campus; to promote responsible decision about drinking within the campus community; to help educate and inform student, faculty, administrators, and staff about health issues that affect the campus community, including: alcohol use, abuse, and misuse, HIV/AIDS, tobacco awareness and cessation, fitness and nutrition and sexual health; and to increase awareness and communication within the academic community regarding health-related matter for college students.
To provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions. Given the power and potential of student activism, service and leadership, we pledge to join the Bacchus Peer education network. We pledge to end the tragedies and misfortunes that happen as a result of destructive decision and continue to have a positive influence on our peers.

HEROES works with the BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA to provide all of its members with the CPE Training. A comprehensive, 12-hour foundation training suitable for any health and safety focused collegiate peer education group. The training concentrates on the skills needed by all peer educators.
