High School Connections is a program designed to give high school students the opportunity to earn high school and college credits simultaneously - the same class earns credits for both. These classes are taught at our partner high schools, by high school faculty.

University Connections is a program that provides high school students the opportunity to take college credits early, directly through MSUB & City College. Students enroll in classes alongside current university students.

 

- Credits earned through High School Connections are fully transferable in the Montana University System (MUS) and transfer widely to other accredited colleges and universities. Be sure to check with the institution you would like to attend to verify degree requirements and acceptance of your credits.

- We currently partner with 16 different high schools, please explore our High School Connections Partners page to see if your school is one of them! 

- The first two classes a student takes are tuition-free! After that, students pay a reduced rate of *$53.05 per credit. Please see our Dual Enrollment Cost Savings page for further information.

*Tuition and fees are subject to change by the Montana Board of Regents of Higher Education. Additional course fees may apply. If you have any questions regarding current tuition and fees, please contact the Business Office at 406-657-2301. 

NOTE: High School Connection classes are only available to MT high schools & students.

- 100 & 200 level courses are available for students to take through the University Connections program.

- There is no limit on the number of credits you can enroll in for each semester.

- It is up to the student to work with their high school to determine if any college credits they earn through University Connections will count towards their high school graduation requirements.

- Taking a college course can present new processes and technology. Please use our University Connections 101 guidelines to learn about all the details of being enrolled in a college course.

- Students must be between the ages of 16-19 to be eligible to participate in this program. If you are under 16 years of age at the beginning of a semester, you will be instructed to complete the Underage Policy forms to determine if a waiver will be granted.
