What is Upward Bound?
Upward Bound is a free program that helps high school students prepare for their future after high school through meeting with an Outreach Advisor and attending a Summer Institute. Our goal is to give every participant an opportunity to further their education after high school and earn a 2 or 4 year college degree.
Advising for high school and dual enrollment classes
Get connected to tutors and gain skills to become a better student
Develop familiarity of the college and financial aid process
Prepare for college entrance exams like the ACT or SAT
Tour college campuses in Montana and surrounding states
Summer Positions Available!
Upward Bound is currently hiring for the following summer positions.
Math Instructor - The summer faculty work within the framework of team teaching and integrated curriculum. The core curriculum consists of science, math and language arts. The faculty will develop and implement an integrated curriculum based on the summer theme Flight. Elective courses include foreign language and technology. Americorps Team Members - Americorps Team Members leaders serve as mentors for high school aged students for the residential component of the Summer Institute. Team Leaders need to be positive role models; willing to work in a team environment; experienced with group and individual activities; have an understanding of students from diverse backgrounds.
