How do I apply for financial aid?
The Department of Education encourages students to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at  The FAFSA must be filed annually, and becomes available for the upcoming academic year (Fall/Spring) on October 1st of every year. The FAFSA priority filing date for MSUB  is December 1st.  Submit your application before this date to ensure you are considered for all types of aid for which you are eligible.  Remember to include the MSUB school code - 002530 - on your application so we will be sure to receive your information.  The FAFSA is a Free Application and there are many free services to help answer any questions that may arise in filling out the form.
