You can also search the catalog by the acronym (like "WAIS") or full name (like "Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale"). The record will say "sample test" if it is located in the Test Collection.

Checking Out Tests

The library needs 24 hours' notice to pull and make available a test for checkout. This applies for both faculty and students enrolled in relevant courses.

Please contact Nathan Sonnenschein, the Test Collection coordinator, at nathan.sonnenschein@msubillings.edu or 406-657-1665 to make a request. Please include:

  • Name of test
  • Preferred length for checkout period
  • Call number of test (if available)

Restrictions

Faculty may request a test to check out and use for instructional purposes. They may also request that a test be put on reserve at the Ask Here desk for a course they are teaching.

Students must be enrolled in a related course in order to check out a test from the Test Library. The student must obtain permission from their course instructor before making a test request. Permission can be in the form of an email (preferred) or phone call from the course instructor to the Test Collection coordinator identifying the student and giving authorization for the test request.

Storage and use of Test Collection materials is guided by the APA's Statement on the Use of Secure Psychological Tests in the Education of Graduate and Undergraduate Psychology Students.
