Dr. Stuart Snyder is a Professor of Physics at Montana State University Billings. Prior to joining the MSU Billings faculty in 2000, Dr. Snyder was a physicist at the Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls, ID where he did research in optical and laser diagnostics of thermal plasmas, and laser spectroscopy for environmental monitoring. His research in laser spectroscopy continues at MSU Billings. Dr. Snyder is a Billings native and graduated from Billings West High School. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in physics from Montana State University-Bozeman, and his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Idaho.
