This immersive, hands-on STEM experience introduces students to drone technology, aerospace fundamentals, and real-world data analysis. Students will build drones from the ground up, learn safe flight operations, and use aerial imagery to solve authentic community challenges.

  • June 22–26: Girls Drone Camp (3rd - 6th grade)
  • July 27–31: Middle & High School Drone Camp
  • August 17–21: Co-Ed Drone Camp (3rd - 6th grade)

All drone equipment and instructional materials are provided.

 


What Students Will Experience

 

Throughout the week, participants will:

  • Build and assemble a working drone
  • Practice electrical soldering and wiring
  • Learn FAA safety fundamentals and responsible flight operations
  • Conduct supervised flight missions
  • Collect aerial imagery and environmental data
  • Analyze real-world data using GIS tools
  • Apply drone technology to solve community-based challenges

This is not passive learning. Students will work hands-on in labs, collaborate in teams, and apply problem-solving skills in real scenarios.
