The Office of Housing & Residential Life employs approximately 30 students each year to work in a variety of roles within the department. Announcements are made throughout the year when positions open and an application process has started. Please check back regularly to see what positions are available. Available positions will have active links to the application.
Number of hours and pay rates are dependent on positions and years of service to the department.

Approximately 21 positions available each year.
Typically the staff members you will get to know best, “RAs,” are student staff who live on wings or floors of each residence hall. They have specific community development, programming and administrative responsibilities, but they probably can be best thought of as outstanding resources for you. They are experienced students who have been selected for their skills and have been trained to be an important link between you and the things you will experience as a student. International Resident Coordinator
1-2 positions available each yearThe International Resident Coordinator serves an important role as the liaison between our International students and residential life. This position has specific community development, programming, and administrative responsibilities, but are most notable for their efforts in building relationships with International student living within the residence halls. The International Resident Coordinator also works with housing staff to improve programming opportunities for International students and help them acclimate to and learn more about the campus culture.
Student Office Staff
Seeking one (1) position for the remainder of spring 2013 to be continued through summer and into next year.
The student office support position works closely with the Administrative Associate, Hall Directors, Assistant Housing Director and Director of Student Life & Auxilliaries to help successfully run the Housing and Residential Life Programs. All duties and tasks will be assigned by the Administrative Associate, Assistant Director, Director, and Hall Directors. While some tasks will be done on a routine, daily basis, other special projects will be assigned as needed.
Resident Technical Assistants
Approximately 2 positions available each year
As a courtesy to our residence hall students we employee at least one Resident Technical Assistant (RTA) that is available to help with your internet connection needs. The RTA is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the computer labs and ensuring adequate printing supplies like paper and ink. A background in computers and networks is appreciated for applicants of this position.
Approximately 1 position available each year
The office of Housing & Residential Life employs at least one Student Maintenance worker each year who helps with general maintenance issues within the residence hall. This position works with variety of services including minor room maintenance, furniture disbursement, and other jobs associated with the successful operations of the residence halls.
Approximately 11 positions available each summer
During the summer months the Housing office employs a team of summer staff members to work in a variety of areas including:
- Resident Assistant: Work to maintain safety and opportunities for students living on campus and taking summer classes.
- Conference Assistant: Prepares rooms for summer conference attendees and works with conference operations and orientation programs.
- Maintenance: A summer student maintenance worker is hired to help with maintenance improvements and concerns in both halls.
