photo of a performance art pieceMacedonian-born artist Igor Josifov will offer a performance art workshop based on his extensive experience with this art form, which uses the artist's body as its primary medium.

Josifov will discuss his previous and upcoming performances and how those relate to his ongoing production of artwork in traditional media. Participants will engage with the artist and will be offered an opportunity to develop a concept for their own performance or for integrating performance into their own artistic practice.

Josifov, a well-established international performance and visual artist, is the artist-in-residence at the Visible Vault, Yellowstone Art Museum, during the month of February. His burned paper works will be on display in the Northcutt Steele Gallery from February 20 through March 20, 2014.

The workshop is free. No materials or previous experience with performance art are required.

For more information about Josifov visit his Tumblr website.
