Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are essential members of the healthcare team. They provide basic patient care and
assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as bathing, eating, and mobility.
CNAs work closely with nurses and other professionals in hospitals, long-term care
facilities, nursing homes, and community care facilities, as well as in home health
settings. Because of the personal nature of the job, CNAs should be compassionate,
reliable, and enjoy helping others.
