Jazz Concert Tomorrow Night at MSU Billings

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The MSU Billings Jazz Club, Yellowjacket Jazz; and Yellowstone Public Radio present Jazz Dignitaries Clay Jenkins and Bob Bowman in a live concert at Cisel Hall on the MSU Billings campus, Thursday, Nov. 2 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Jenkins and Bowman are internationally known as Jenkins plays trumpet, Bowman plays upright bass, and both helped to shape the world of jazz as we know it today.

 

Their collective pedigrees include Freddie Hubbard, Thad Jones, Henry Mancini, Count Basie, Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra and many more, including their own projects. Both are jazz educators and players of the highest caliber. They will be joined by Kansas City jazz masters Peter Schlamb on vibraphone and John Kizilarmut on drumset.

 

Tickets are $10 at the door. MSUB students, faculty and staff receive free admission by presenting current MSUB identification card at the door.
