As the Oct. 1 application deadline quickly approaches, students are urged to attend the meeting. Material covered will include information about the application process, funding and scholarship options, international and exchange programs offered as well as first-hand study abroad experiences shared by MSU Billings students.

The Office of International Studies has study abroad and student exchange programs in 12 countries including Mexico, Costa Rica, England, France, Spain, Finland, Germany, Slovakia, Macedonia, China, South Korea and Japan.

“Studying abroad gives students an opportunity for a life changing experience,” said Kirsten McKinney, study abroad program manager. “There is no better way to expand knowledge of culture and enhance communication skills than traveling to new places and meeting new people. Plus, the experience makes a great addition to resumes.”

Accounting student Ashley Chouinard said her study abroad experience to Europe was “more than a life changing experience.”

“It gave me a chance to learn more about myself, meet new people and experience new cultures,” she said. “I recommend it for everyone."
