MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana kids love the excitement surrounding the selection of their favorite super-hero or Disney character costume in early October.  However, come late October, when it is time to don that green monster or fairy princess it is a struggle for parents to fit the costume over their bundled child.   MSU Billings residence hall students understand that the Hulk isn’t as powerful when wearing a scarf, Iron Man can’t fly as fast with gloves, and Cinderella’s slipper will never fit over snow boots.

Students who live in the residence halls, their resident assistants and other volunteers will turn Petro Hall into a fun, safe, and most importantly warm trick-or-treating venues on Wednesday, Oct. 30.  Halloween Hall-Wide starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the community.  There will be treats as well as carnival activities in the Student Union Building atrium and the campus store.

This is the seventh year the MSU Billings housing crew has offered the trick-or-treating venue and the housing staff anticipates a lot of interest because it gives youngsters and their families a safe and fun-filled way to start Halloween festivities.

In previous years, about 400 trick-or-treaters came through the residence halls and the RAs are planning for a similar turnout this year. MSU Billings residence hall students and their RAs will decorate the halls and serve as guides for each group.

The event is funded by the Associated Students of MSU Billings, the Residence Halls Association, residence hall staff and volunteer donations.
