MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Amanda Staffanson, a Montana State University Billings music education major with a piano focus from Sidney, will be presenting her Senior Recital on Sunday, April 13 at 3:30 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall. 

 

The music recital is free and open to the public.

 

The daughter of Scott and Gail Staffanson of Sidney, Staffanson began her college education at the University of Montana Western and was trained as a piano student under Lucyann Lienisch.  After  at year at the one year at the Dillon campus, she transferred to MSU Billings and became the student of Dorthea Cromley.  She will graduate in the spring of 2009. 

 

Staffanson has been very involved on campus in both musical and service organizations.  She has been in Concert Choir for three years and has preformed piano solos during many student recitals.  In addition, she is involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as a musician and leader.  She is also the president of the Collegiate 4-H group at MSU Billings and has been on several mission trips around the United States and as far away as South Africa. 

 

She will be performing works composed by J.S. Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, and Copland in her recital.
