Online Orientation is an introduction to college life at Montana State University Billings.
This is a virtual orientation experience where you will connect with students, faculty, and staff. Traditional Freshmen ages 18-21 will also register for your fall courses during this time. Adult Learners and transfer students will want to set up an advising/registration appointment with one of our advising offices prior to attending orientation, call: University Campus Advising (406) 657-2240 or City College Advising (406) 247-3007.
The Orientation program provides an important campus experience including both academics and student life. In addition to academic advising, class registration, and workshops, you will meet and connect with other freshmen.
The deadline for orientation registration is one week prior to the scheduled session. Orientation sessions have limited space. Reserve your orientation date now. Complete the registration form online by selecting the date you wish to sign up for:

We will be providing you additional information to access the virtual orientation platform closer to your scheduled orientation. You will have access to online videos as well as live sessions. These sessions and times will be spread throughout the week to prepare you for your advising appointment to register for your classes.
Yes, all new freshman are required to attend orientation.
A virtual orientation experience will be provided for parents and supporters on multiple occasions throughout the summer and you will have the opportunity to select which session works best with your schedule.

Individuals who have been out of high school or completed their HiSet over three years ago will be encouraged to take the Accuplacer placement test to assist with placement into English, reading, math and some program courses. Please note that there is a fee ($7.50 or $15) associated with the Accuplacer test(s), pending on which test(s) are taken.
