What is a Fast Pass Registration Event?
Fast Pass Registration events are designed for new Freshman joining the hive in Fall 2023. Get ahead of the line and register for classes EARLY! Fast Pass events will include the following:
- Leave with your Fall '23 schedule in hand - Preparing for Fast Pass Registration Video
- Complete your new student checklist with a New Student Specialist
- Apply for campus programs and prepare for the Fall '23 term EARLY!
- Come to the Overnight Orientation Experience ready to go!

(*The June 16, July 14, and August 4 Fast Pass registration dates will follow the overnight orientation experience event; students may attend these registration events separate from the overnight orientation experience.)

π What is an Overnight Orientation Experience?
Orientation is an introduction to college life at MSUB! During this overnight experience, you will meet future 'Jackets, tour the campus, meet faculty and staff, and experience life in the hive! The orientation program includes insights into academics and student life with the opportunity for students to collect free swag, stay overnight in the resident halls, explore campus programs, enjoy MSUB dining, participate in engaging events, and SO much more!
- June 15-16 (This Orientation Session is FULL)
- July 13-14
- August 3-4
- August 9 One Day Adult & Transfer Orientation (no overnight option)
MSUB Parents and Supporters
*MSUB values Yellowjacket parents and supporters and we have a portion of the orientation dedicated to you! Parents will meet with the Dean of Students and have the opportunity to learn about student (and parent) independence, explore academic success resources on campus, understand information and privacy laws, move-in tips, and much more! This session takes place during day one of orientation and is dedicated to our families and future 'Jacket supporters to ensure everyone can thrive in the hive!

The Navigate online platform streamlines student support by breaking down communication barriers. Navigate helps guide students toward a successful college journey and makes communication easier between MSUB administrators, advisors, faculty, and staff.
STEP 1
π Apply to MSUB online: Apply NOW!
You must have applied for admission or completed a readmit application before moving on to step 2.
STEP 2
π Transfer students: Request official college transcripts from all previously attended colleges. To be
considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the college to MSUB. Electronic
official transcripts can be sent to registrar@msubllings.edu.
Official printed transcripts can be mailed directly to:
MSU Billings Registrar Office
1500 University Drive
Billings MT 59101
All official transcript must be received by MSU Billings prior to meeting with an
advisor for registration.
π Returning students: If you have not attended any other college since the last time you attended MSUB β go to Step 3. If you have attended any college(s) after attending MSUB, contact those colleges to request that they send official transcripts directly to the MSU Billings registrar office. Electronic official transcripts can be sent to registrar@msubllings.edu. Official printed transcripts can be mailed directly to: MSU Billings Registrar Office - 1500 University Drive, Billings MT 59101. All official transcripts must be received by MSU Billings prior to meeting with an advisor for registration.

Adult/Transfer/Readmit August 9th
Transfer students: Orientations provide a great introduction to college life as well as the resources available at MSUB! There are overnight experiences and a half-day option for adult/transfer students. In the overnight experience you will meet future βJackets, tour the campus, meet faculty and staff, and experience life in the hive! The Orientation program includes insights into academics and student life with the opportunity for students to collect free swag, stay overnight in the residence halls, explore campus programs, enjoy MSUB dining, participate in engaging events, and so much more! The half-day orientation will include hands on sessions exploring your student portal, learning how to access campus technology, exploring your online learning platform, and connecting with student supports and campus programs. End the day with a tour of campus and collect free swag while you get prepared for the fall.
Returning students : Are welcome to sign up and attend an orientation but not required to.
