Step 1 - Placement Testing (Accuplacer):

Adult Learners that are attending college for the first time are usually required to take the Accupulacer test prior to their individual registration appointment. With testing restrictions due to COVID19, we are implementing temporary placement options.  Contact Jacket Student Central at (406) 247-3019 to discuss options. 

Transfer students who have not taken college level math and/or writing classes are usually required to take the Accupulacer placement test. With testing restrictions due to COVID19, please contact Jacket Student Central to discuss options. Transcripts from all previous institutions must be received prior to scheduling the individual advising appointment. For advising purposes the transcripts can be unofficial, but admissions will require official transcripts prior to the start of your 1st semester.

Call Jacket Student Central at (406) 247-3019 to confirm all necessary documents are in and to schedule and advising appointment.  Appointments can be online (webex) or over the phone. Please ensure you have access to a computer for your appointment so we can help you access your educational records during the appointment.                                  

Transfer Students need to call Jacket Student Central to setup an individual advising appointment. Please note that all transfer work from previous colleges must be submitted prior to the appointment and an evaluation completed by an academic advisor.  Call Jacket Student Central at (406) 247-3019 to confirm all necessary documents are in and to schedule and advising appointment.  Appointments can be online (webex) or over the phone. Step 3 - Orientation:

After the students have registered for courses the next step is to attend Virtual Orientation. Student will learn more about services available at both City College and University campuses and receive information on important computer training for online courses and on-campus computer access.
