Step 1 - Placement Testing (Accuplacer)

Adult Learners who are attending college for the first time may need to take the Accupulacer test prior to their individual registration appointment.   Contact the Advising Center at (406)657-2240 to discuss options. 

Transfer students who do not have math and/or writing classes on their college transcript may need to take Accupulacer placement test(s). For advising purposes the transcripts can be unofficial, but Admissions will require official transcripts prior to the start of your first semester.

Please note that there is a fee ($7.50 or $15) associated with the Accuplacer test(s), pending on which test(s) are taken.

Step 2 - Registration

Adult Learners call the Advising Center at (406) 657-2240 to confirm all necessary documents are in and to schedule an individual advising appointment. Appointments can be in person, online (Webex) or over the phone. For online and phone appointments, please ensure you are at a computer so you can access your educational records during the appointment.

Step 3 - Orientation

After registering for courses, the next step is to attend an Orientation. Orientations provide you with additional information about services and resources available through the University and you will also receive information on important computer platforms and on campus computer access.
