MSUB Orientation & Registration 2022
For students enrolling for fall 2022.
New Student Orientation is the beginning of your college career. It is a time when
you get to sample some of the experiences you will have in the fall and make the transition
to MSU Billings. Orientation will come in 4 parts.
Step 1
Sign up for Orientation / Registration
Traditional age students are encouraged to select an on-campus overnight orientation experience or can choose
not to attend the overnight experience. There are 3 sessions to choose from: June 16-17, July 14-15 or August 4-5. Orientations will include, workshops, networking
and student life components. Step 2 details how class registration works.
Transfer and Adult Learners will select an on-campus 1 day orientation experience. There are 2 sessions to choose
from: August 18 or August 24. Orientations will include, workshops, networking and student
life components.
Step 2
After signing up for orientation / registration you will receive an email with a link
to your personal online pre-registration module. Complete the modules as your schedule
allows. This email will come within 2 business days. Please also remember to submit any and all transcripts from former high schools and
colleges you previously attend.
Step 3
Following your completion of the online pre-registration modules, orientation team
members will confirm we have your transcripts, placement information and then reach
out to you to schedule an advising appointment. You will meet individually with Academic
Advisor (in person, online or by phone) and register for classes.
Step 4
Attend Welcome Week Events
You are invited to participate in Welcome Week events as we kick off the start of
the semester. Welcome week includes networking and engagement events , New Student
Day, Where in the Hive and more.
Remember you need to apply for admission and have been accepted for fall 2022 in order
to sign up for orientation.
