  • Have Completed the 5th grade
  • Attend one of these middle schools or high schools

      • Lockwood
      • Huntley Project
      • Shepherd
      • Laurel
      • Elder Grove
    • High Schools
      • Skyview

      • Shepherd
      • Huntley Project
      • Laurel
      • Lockwood
  • Are committed to continuing studies beyond high school

Preference given to students with parent(s) who do not have a bachelor’s degree and/or families who are income eligible according to federal guidelines 

 

You are eligible to apply for Upward Bound if you...

  • Have completed the 8th grade
  • Attend one of  these High Schools
    • Senior HS
    • Skyview HS
    • West HS
    • Hardin HS
    • Lockwood HS 
  • Have interest in attending a post-secondary education institution after high school
  • Have parent(s)/guardian(s) who do not have a bachelor’s degree and/or your family is income eligible according to federal guidelines 
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers and one letter of recommendation from school counselors
  • Show a willingness to participate in the 6 week long summer programs

 

You are eligible to apply for the Educational Opportunity Centers program if you...

  • Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Are at least 16 years old
  • Do not have a four-year degree
  • Are not in a school that TRIO Talent Search services
  • Express a desire to enroll in a program of post-secondary education
  • Live within one of the 19 counties or 2 tribal nations served by TRIO EOC
