Upward Bound

Educational  Opportunity Center

  • Have Completed the 5th grade
  • Attend one of these Middle Schools
    • Castle Rock, Medicine Crow, Lewis & Clark, Will James, Ben Steele, Riverside, Lockwood, Huntley Project, Shepherd, Laurel, Elder Grove
  • Attend one of these High Schools
    • Skyview, Senior, West, Shepherd, Huntley Project, Laurel, Lockwood
  • Students committed to continuing studies beyond high school
  • Preference given to students with parent(s) who do not have a bachelor’s degree and/or families who are income eligible according to federal guidelines 
  • Completion of the eighth grade.
  • Attend one of  these High Schools
    • Senior HS
    • Skyview HS
    • West HS
    • Hardin HS
    • Lockwood HS 
  • Interest in attending a post-secondary education institution after high school
  • Students with parent(s) who do not have a bachelor’s degree and/or families who are income eligible according to federal guidelines 
  • Obtain two letters of recommendation from teachers and one letter of recommendation from school counselors.
  • Willingness to participate in the 6 week long summer programs.
  • Are at least 19 years of age; or if less than 19 years of age, cannot be appropriately served by a Talent Search project
  • High school graduate or GED recipient
  • High School and post-secondary dropouts
  • Veteran of any age
  • Express a desire to enroll in a program of post-secondary education
  • Are able to do post-secondary work
  • Are able to benefit from EOC services
  • Reside within one of the following counties: Carbon, Custer, Carter, Dawson, Fallon, Golden Valley, Little Big Horn, McCone, Musselshell, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Rosebud, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Treasure, Wheatland, Wibaux, Yellowstone.
  • Preference given to students with parent(s) who do not have a bachelor’s degree and/or families who are income eligible according to federal guidelines
