Congratulations to the following grant recipients:

 

Dan Benge, Director, Upward Bound/TRiO and Educational Talent Search: MSUB’s Educational Talent Search program was awarded by the US Department of Education for the 2018-2019 academic year. Through this program, Dr. Benge and his office assist 7th-12th grade students (600 eligible in Yellowstone County) to prepare for and attend a post-secondary institution after graduation.

 

Laura Gittings-Carlson, Director, Student Support Services/TRiO: The US Department of Education awarded Student Support Services for the 2018-2019 academic year. This program offers a wide range of holistic services to students with academic need, including first generation, low-income, students with disabilities, and those requiring remediation in certain subject areas.

 

John Keener, Project Coordinator, Montana Center for Inclusive Education: The Montana Office of Public Instruction awarded grant funds for MCIE to assist school districts in strengthening the quality of their programs for Indian Education for All in the 2018-2019 academic year.

 

Debra Miller, Project Coordinator, Montana Center for Inclusive Education: The Montana Office of Public Instruction awarded a Comprehensive System of Personal Development (CSPD) to Debra Miller at the MCIE. This grants funds MCIE to train teachers to provide vital services as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Montana State Plan for Special Education.
