MSU BILLINGS NEWS—The 2018 Montana Writers Roundup will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 12 to 5 p.m. in the MetraPark Expo Center, in conjunction with the Family Tree Center’s Festival of Trees (which has a nominal entry fee). Included in the event are a book sale/book signing by local and regional writers and a basket of books raffle.

Area authors who will be available for friendly discussions and book signing during part or all of the afternoon (weather permitting) include Dan Aadland, Jim Ashcraft, Rick Bonogofsky, Cara Chamberlain, Donna Cochran, Sid Gustafson, Tami Haaland, Janet Muirhead Hill, Adrian Jawort, Danell Jones, William Kamowski, Carrie La Seur, Travis Austin Lee, Tim Lehman, Susan W. Lyons, Precious McKenzie (This House of Books), Jean Posusta, Bernie Quetchenbach, N.A. Shandy, Karen Stevens, Vicki Tapia, Alan Tucker, Richard Waltner, and more.

As part of the Roundup, a deluxe basket of signed books and gifts, will be raffled off. Tickets for the raffle, available at the event, cost only $1 each or six for $5; the drawing will be held around 4 p.m. on Saturday, and you need not be present to win.

The Montana Writers Roundup is organized annually by Sigma Tau Delta, the MSU Billings branch of the international English honor society, a nonprofit academic organization. Sigma Tau Delta uses its share of the proceeds to support scholarships for English majors.

Autographed books make wonderful holiday presents, and the gift-wrapping is free, so come and see what our local and regional authors have to offer.
