Symphonic Band presents spring concert

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings Symphonic Band will give their Spring Concert on Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Hall.

 

The concert will be a celebration of the wonderful diversity of music available to the modern wind band. The program will include transcriptions of works by Bach, Haydn, and Elgar, plus original works for the band by James Barnes and Frank Erickson. The concert will feature two percussion majors, brothers Curtis and Dillon Steiger, performing Robert Jager’s Concerto for Percussion and Band. Music by Henry Mancini will also be presented. The band is under the direction of Dr. Mark Fenderson.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.  MSUB students, faculty, and staff enter free with a valid ID.

Parking is free in all lots.
