MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings music performance major, Mady Johnson, will perform her junior clarinet recital on March 5, at 3 p.m., in Cisel Recital Hall on the MSUB university campus. The recital is free and open to the public.

Johnson graduated in 2013 from Shepherd High School in Shepherd, Mont. She can be heard regularly around Billings playing in multiple university ensembles including the Symphonic Band, Pep Band and Jazz Ensemble, as well as various local bands and musicals in the city.

In early February, Johnson had the opportunity to perform with Wayne Bergeron at the 2016 MSUB Jazz Festival.

Johnson will be accompanied by pianist Delores Vigesaa and will perform works by Paul Hindemith, George Gershwin and Johannes Brahms.

 

She is a student of Gary Behm.
