Recital show on Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m., in Cisel Hall

 

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings senior music student Kirk Visser will perform his senior euphonium recital in Cisel Hall on April 3.

 

Visser’s program will feature pieces from Sigismund von Neukomm, Henry Fillmore, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Arthur Pryor, Giulio Marco Bordogni, Benny Beach and George Philipp Telemann. 

 

Vissar is a student of Assistant Professor John Roberts and has also studied with Aaron Schendel and the late Dr. James Robertson.

He is involved with the MSUB Symphonic Band, jazz ensemble, the brass and low-brass quintets, the Billings Community Band and various other ensembles around town. He will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts in music with a performance concentration. Upon graduation, Vissar plans to work toward a music education certificate.

 

Visser is a 2008 graduate of Shepherd High School and is the son of Peggy and Keith Visser.
