MSU Billings euphonium major Kirk Visser will be a featured performer at the spring concert.

 

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The Montana State University Billings Symphonic Band will give its Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall on the MSU Billings campus. 

 

Tickets for the concert, which is open to everyone, cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens.  MSU Billings students, faculty and staff are free with a current ID.

 

Under the direction of Dr. Mark Fenderson, the concert will feature MSU Billings euphonium major Kirk Visser performing the “Morceau Symphonique” by Alexandre Guillmant.  The concert will also include music from “Carmen” and “Les Miserables,” the finale from Dvorak’s “New World Symphony,” a memorial tribute to the great American bandsman, educator and composer Francis Macbeth, and two patriotic selections, the march “Americans We” and “America, the Beautiful.”
