Lauren
Anderson is a member of the Billings Senior
High School graduating class of 2002. She has been developing one of her
pastimes by taking intermediate photography at MSU-Billings. Lauren says,
"I plan to pursue photography, as it is one of my favorite hobbies,
but I do not know if I will major in it in college." Kim Cathey was a freshman at MSU-Billings in the general studies program for the 2001/2002 school year. Blain Chambers is a freshman at MSU-Billings in the general studies program. Lanelle Christman graduated from MSU-Billings in the Fall of 2002. She plans to continue her education by attending graduate school to obtain a Masters Degree in History as well as a Masters in Library Information Science. She has a daughter, Kyla, whom she is very proud of. Her passions are books and reading. Her favorite authors are Tim O' Brien and Margaret Atwood. Lanelle's ongoing battle with cancer inspired her to write these poems. Kirsten Horn is a senior at MSU-Billings, working her way through a Communications and Theater degree. Her preferred medium of writing is the short story, but poetry comes more easily. This is her first time being published in The Rook. Heather Gildroy is a sophomore at MSU-Billings in the general studies program. John Johnson is a senior pursuing an English B.S.E.D. B.A. Cullen Lickingteller is a graduate student at MSU-Billings in the teacher certification program. Jared Lindell is a freshman at MSU-Billings pursuing an English B.A. For Franco Littlelight, writing "The Evergreen Trees" was an effort to imitate the voice of W.C. Williams, however out of tune it may be. "I Walked in the Woods," he felt, might not be ready for publication but he decided to run with it anyway. He is a senior pursuing a Social Science Broadfield B.S.E.D. Starla Patenaude is a senior studying Communication and Theater Arts. Annie M. Rice is a senior at MSU-Billings majoring in Secondary Education-Social Science Broadfield. She was born and raised in Lewistown and now lives with her husband in Billings. Lenard Ruterbories is a man of high character who truly likes eggs and bacon. It is that love that has taken him to the grocery store and back. In all his quests he hopes to finally become the man his dog thinks he is. Deanna Utroske is a second-year Automotive Technology major at the COT. She currently edits the creativity page of The Retort, our campus newspaper. She is also an active member of the Jacket Student Ambassador organization. Deanna will be pursuing a B.A.S. degree here at MSU-Billings in the 2003/2004 school year. Connor Warner is a senior at MSU-Billings pursuing an English B.S.E.D. Aric Weber is studying at Montana State University - Billings for a degree in Life (if read aloud, the preceding statement should be sarcastic), with a double-minor in Drinking and Eating. He spends his free time perusing unused MacGuyver teleplays for a cure for seasonal allergies. He does this until he gets tired, then he has a little snack and goes to sleep. Justin Wiebe is a junior at MSU-Billings. He is an English/Education major with a History minor. Dale Vermillion is a retired physician. Prior to coming to Billings, he and his wife spent two years in the Peace Corps in Ecuador, part of which he recalls here. Now in his dotage, his wife says he can scarcely remember breakfast. |
