Upward Bound

Upward Bound students go for a nature hike above the Yellowstone RiverUpward Bound, a federally funded TRIO program, is a pre-collegiate project located on the campus of Montana State University Billings. MSU Billings Upward Bound serves disadvantaged high school students in Billings and Hardin, preparing these students to enter into a program of post-secondary education. Services include a six-week summer residential program, tutoring and instruction, exposure to the performing arts and cultural activities, academic advising and college preparation workshops.

Upward Bound employs academic tutors, summer instructors, team leaders (summers only) and interns. The project provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals planning to work professionally with high school students. To get involved in this program, contact the Upward Bound Office located on the third floor of Cisel Hall, or call (406) 657-2180.

Educational Talent Search

Educational Talent Search, a federally-funded TRIO program, is a pre-collegiate project located on the campus of Montana State University-Billings. The Educational Talent Search program serves disadvantaged middle and high school students in Yellowstone County, preparing these students to enter into a program of post-secondary education. Services include tutoring and instruction, exposure to the performing arts and cultural activities, academic advising and college preparation workshops.

Educational Talent Search employs academic tutors, and interns. The project provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals planning to work professionally with high school students. To get involved in this program, contact the Educational Talent Search Office located on the third floor of Cisel Hall or call (406) 657-2116.
