2012-13 Faculty Excellence Awards
Please consider providing a nomination for one of our outstanding faculty members for a 2012-13 Faculty Excellence Award.
These awards honor those who provide excellent education for our students: The scholar/teacher/mentor combination that makes MSU Billings a wonderful place.
The nominating process is relatively easy. You can do a detailed letter about the work of a favorite faculty member or you can simply send an e-mail with the name and qualifications of a faculty member you think may be worthy. College students, faculty, administration, alumni, or other members of the university community having direct knowledge of the nominee’s work may initiate nominations.
The process is not as detailed as in years past and there are fewer long narratives or forms needed. In an effort to go green, you are encouraged to submit forms electronically in PDF format.
ALL NOMINATIONS ARE DUE AT 5 P.M. FRIDAY, DEC. 14 TO THE OFFICE OF GRADUATE STUDIES or via e-mail to Jackie Christiansen at email@example.com.

However, faculty members who have received a faculty achievement award in the last five (5) years are not eligible for an award this year.
Excellence Award for Non-Tenured Faculty: This award is intended to recognize excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, as evidenced by past performance of an individual who is non-tenured faculty (Fixed term, LOA, Adjunct, University Lecturer, RNTTA, MUS Contract).
Excellence Award for Part-Time Faculty: This award is intended to recognize excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, as evidenced by past performance of an individual who is part-time faculty.
City College Faculty Leadership Award: This award is intended to stimulate and reward leadership, achievement, and service as evidence of excellent performance that furthers the City College of MSU Billings’ (formerly the College of Technology) goal of being comprehensive community college. To be considered for this award any tenured or tenure-track City College faculty member is eligible. There is no limit to the number of times an individual may be nominated and receive one of the awards, except that once a person has received the award, that individual shall not be eligible to receive it again until a period of at least three (3) years has elapsed.
