Noyce Scholarships at MSUB are generous annual and renewable awards of $17,300 which were awarded to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) students who are both qualified to enter MSUB’s Teacher Education program and are interested in a career teaching in Montana.
For each year that the scholarship is awarded to a NSP Scholar, that scholar will reciprocate by serving for at least two years in a high-needs school in Montana. Placement in schools is arranged and monitored by the NSP staff. The scholar-teachers in their new schools are supported through on-site mentoring and NSP networking. If this reciprocal placement is not or cannot be met, NSP Scholar awards must be repaid.
