Summary of Key Issues
MSU-Billings is held in
high regard by students and alumni and is respected by the region it
serves. However, there were many issues extensively discussed in the
Focus Groups and Open Forums. They include:
- Make the Student Union more oriented to student
needs and activities
- the quality of life offered to resident
students
- the visual image of the MSU-Billings campus
- definition of campus entrances and open space
- the connections between the University,
downtown Billings, and the medical corridor
- streamlining the provision of student services
on campus
- a welcoming, customer friendly atmosphere in
McMullen
- improve access to technology throughout the
campus
- convenient parking
- develop student housing
- renovate and reconfigure the Liberal Arts
Building
- renovate and upgrade the Science Building
- integration of the College of Technology into
campus life
- campus access to disabled people.
The
issues identified by Focus Groups and Open Forum participants express
concerns and help define a vision for MSU-Billings
