Mandatory Seminars and Orientation to Student Teaching

Attendance is optional for student teachers placed out-of-state or beyond a 250 mile radius of Billings .

Student Teachers should print one copy of the documents listed below before coming to the first student teaching and orientation seminar.

Student Teaching Applications

Applications for Spring Semester 2010 will be available for download in September, 2009.

Eligibility:

  • Admission to the Teacher Education Program

  • Meet or exceed all GPA requirements

  • Submission of a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints)

  • Fingerprinting and Federal Criminal Background Check Information

  • Completion of all coursework (except EDF 450/515 and ART 499) by the beginning of the student teaching semester

Spring Semester 2010
Student Teaching Application Workshops

All applicants must attend one workshop

  • Tuesday, Sept. 29 ~ 4:00 – 5:00  COE 122
  • Wednesday, Sept. 30 ~ 10:00 – 11:00  COE 122
  • Thursday, Oct. 1 ~ 1:00 – 2:00  COE 122

 Call ETP (657-2336) for information.


STUDENT TEACHING APPLICATIONS

  1. Select your program from the list below.

  2. Click on the application.

  3. SELECT ALL from EDIT then COPY.

  4. Go to a blank Word document and PASTE the form into it.

    1. Check the formatting. Adjust page setup, pagination, spacing, etc. as needed.

  5. Complete the application.

    1. Incomplete or unprofessional applications will not be accepted, including:

      1. inappropriate formatting

      2. writing, spelling, or grammatical errors

  6. Obtain the signatures needed.

  7. Make the required number of copies.

  8. Submit to the ETP Office, COE, Room 261
