The following magazines span the mid-19th to the mid-20th centuries. Articles, illustrations, and photographs in these publications provide a snapshot of important events, social trends, and popular interests of the times, as portrayed by journalists and notable men and women of the period. Most of these publications are indexed in Poole’s Index to Periodical Literature and Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature located on the Reference Index Shelf.
