FINDING

BOOKS

Library Homepage:  http://www.msubillings.edu/library

Finding books, both at MSU-Billings and elsewhere, is a breeze.

Books in the Library:  The Library Catalog

Library Homepage  >  Find Books  >  Library Catalog

The 200,000+ items in the Library collection can be searched through our Library Catalog, available online to anyone from the MSU-Billings Library homepage.  The WebCat Catalog contains the holdings of nine Montana academic libraries.

If the item you are looking for is located in the MSU-Billings Library, you can simply find the call number (A-L on 1st floor, M-Z on 3rd floor), get the item, then present your student/faculty/staff ID at the Circulation Desk to check it out.

If the item you are looking for is located at another library, our Interlibrary Loan Department will borrow it for you.  Please fill out an online Interlibrary Loan Request Form.  You will be notified when the item arrives.

Books in Other Libraries

Library Homepage  >  Find Books  >  WorldCat

You can easily search for books in other libraries.  The best way of doing this is by using the database called OCLC WorldCat.  This is a supercatalog of thousands of libraries around the world.  When you find an item that you would like, use the information you found in WorldCat to complete an online Interlibrary Loan Request Form.  We will request the item for you from another library, and you will be notified when the item arrives.

Books in Print

Library Homepage  >  Find Books  >  Books in Print

Use the OCLC database Books in Print to find any books that are currently available in print.  After making sure we don't have the items in the Library, you can request them by submitting an online Interlibrary Loan Request Form.
