Finding Grants

There are many resources available for finding grants.  Listed below are databases and web resources to assist you in finding the information you need:

 

Foundation Directory Online Professional: available on campus only - A comprehensive database of 80,000 grantmakers and half a million grants including a database of over 230,000 IRS 990s for private foundations, community foundations, and grantmaking public charities.

 

Foundation Grants to Individuals Online:  available on campus only - Find sources for scholarships, fellowships, grants, awards, and other financial support with the online resource devoted exclusively to foundations that fund individuals.

 

GrantSpace - GrantSpace, a service of the FOundation Center, offers information and resources that are specifically designed to meet the needs of nonprofits worldwide in need of know-how for securing funding and operating effective organizations.

 

GuideStar - Connecting people with non-profit information.

 

GrantSmart - Contains 555,114 tax returns filed by 100,122 private foundations and charitable trusts.

 

Grants.gov - Allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more that $400 billion in Federal grants.
