The Library at Montana State University-Billings is one of five Funding Information Network Partners of the Foundation Center. The Funding Information Network is a network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit resource centers that can be found across the U.S. and around the world. Network partners provide a core collection of Foundation Center publications and a variety of supplementary materials and services in areas useful to grantseekers. These resources are available in a variety of formats, including print publications and electronic sources.
The Grants Collection contains a wide variety of materials as well. The Montana Foundation Directory, Wyoming Foundations Directory and the Philanthropy Northwest Member Directory may prove to be useful research tools. The Montana Foundation Directory is an biennial publication listing private foundations in Montana and out-of-state foundations known to have contributed in Montana. Philanthropy Northwest is a professional association of grant makers located in or funding throughout the five state region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
The Grants Collection includes periodicals such as The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Contributions, Education Funding News, Federal Grants and Contract Weekly, the Federal Register, and State of the Arts.
Library staff is available to assist you in using all grant materials.
The Grants & Sponsored Programs Office at MSU Billings serves the campus community by providing information about grant resources and opportunities. They can assist in the preparation of forms and attachments, in routine proposals for approval, helping file all proposals and keeping a log of grants funded.
