The MSUB Library maintains a small collection of psychological and educational tests. The tests may be located by searching in Power Search or by using the Finding Aid.

Browsing the Collection

Finding Aid

The tests are divided into two categories: psychological tests and educational tests.

  1. Psychological Tests

  2. Educational Tests

Power Search

Search in Power Search for tests located in the Test Collection. Use the title keyword search and search by the acronym or full name of the test, for example, WAIS or Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale.

The record will say "sample test" if it is located in the Test Collection.

To list all the tests located in the test library, do a title keyword search and type "sample test".

Checking Out Tests

The library needs 24 hours' notice in order to pull and make available a test for checkout. This applies for both faculty and students enrolled in relevant courses.

Please contact Nathan Sonnenschein, the Test Collection coordinator, at nathan.sonnenschein@msubillings.edu or 406-657-1665 to make a request. Please include:

  • Name of test
  • Preferred length for checkout period
  • Call number of test (if available)

Restrictions

Faculty may request a test to check out and use for instructional purposes. They may also request that a test be put on reserve at the Ask Here desk for a course they are teaching.

Students must be enrolled in a related course in order to check out a test from the Test Library. The student must obtain permission from their course instructor before making a test request. Permission can be in the form of an email (preferred) or phone call from the course instructor to the Test Collection coordinator identifying the student and giving authorization for the test request.

Storage and use of Test Collection materials is guided by the APA's Statement on the Use of Secure Psychological Tests in the Education of Graduate and Undergraduate Psychology Students.
