American Periodicals Series Online™ (APS Online) includes digitized images of the pages of American magazines and journals published from colonial days to the dawn of the 20th century. Titles range from Benjamin Franklin's General Magazine and America's first scientific journal, Medical Repository; popular magazines such as Vanity Fair and Ladies' Home Journal; regional and niche publications; and groundbreaking journals like The DialPuck, and McClure's.


American Revolution Archives

Original documents including The Papers of the Continental Congress, Revolutionary War Pensions, George Washington Correspondence, and Constitutional Convention Records.

Lexis Nexis: Dates vary, full-text

More than 350 newspapers from the U.S. and around the world, including New York Times, Financial Times, and Washington Post.  Includes business and financial news, U.S. and international company financial information from government or private sources, market research, industry reports, and actual SEC filings.  Access to primary source material such as case law, statutes and regulations and secondary source materials such as legal news or law reviews for background or analysis of a legal topic.  Country and state profiles, and World Almanac and Book of Facts.


Military & Government Collection: full-text

Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of these sites. Provides full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals. The database also offers indexing and abstracts for more than 400 journals.


Montana Memory Project:

The Montana Memory Project provides access to digital collections and items relation to Montana's cultural heritage and government.  These collections and items document the Montana experience.  Many of these items are digitized copies of historic material, some items are contemporary.  All serve as a resource for education, business, pleasure, and lifelong learning.

Points of View Reference Center: full-text

A series of essays (each with links to related full-text articles hand-picked by the editor) that present multiple sides of a current issue; provides more than 280 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide; contains a balance of materials from all viewpoints, including more than 1,300 main essays, leading political magazines from both sides of the aisle, newspapers, radio & TV news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books. The database also offers guides to debate, developing arguments and writing position papers. Also contains the Video Encyclopedia of the 20th Century, providing students with a searchable collection of some of the most important social, political, and cultural moments of the 20th century.

Slavery & Anti-Slavery Archive:full-text

An archive of books, pamphlets, court records, and manuscript materials consisting of debates on slavery and abolition. Includes records from the American Colonization Society, from Oberlin's Anti-Slavery collection, from the American Missionary Society (Tulane), and records from the Library of Congress, the National Archives, Yale, Oxford, the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, and other archives.


Regional Business News: full-text

Provides content from over 50 regional business publications.


U.S. Congressional Serial Set:1817-1994

The Serial Set contains House and Senate Documents as well as House and Senate Reports.  The reports are typically from congressional committees dealing with proposed legislation and issues under investigation.  The documents include all other papers printed by the House or Senate.  Documents cover a wide variety of topics and may include reports of executive departments and independent organizations, reports of special investigations made for Congress, and annual reports of non-governmental organizations.

Comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 7,100 full-text periodicals, including more than 6,100 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 11,200 journals and a total of more than 11,700 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,300 journals.
